One of the generators that has potential is the Aek Sibundong Minihydro Power Plant, which is located in Sigulok Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra Province. The Aek Sibundong PLTM is planned to DAM the Aek Sibundong River with a reliable discharge of 90% probability of 2.69 m3/second with an effective fall height at the study location of 81.74 m. PLTM Aek Sibundong is planned to use 2 turbines to generate a power potential of 2×1.97 MW and energy reaching 22.99 GWh/year.
